Welcome to St Richards CE Preschool

We are a small and friendly independent setting for children aged 2-5 years, located in St Richard’s Church Centre, Hanworth. Our Preschool is run by friendly, fun and experienced staff.

Our mission
At St Richard’s Preschool nothing is more important to us than providing a welcoming atmosphere which all staff get to know each child. Our goal is to ensure that your child is happy, confident and ready for the future, by caring and supporting your whole family. We encourage partnership working with parents to support each child to become confident and independent and to develop a positive attitude to, and love for learning.

We have been rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted (read the latest report here).

Our Preschool is a not-for-profit charity managed by a group of Trustees which includes parent representatives. We were founded by St Richard’s Church (part of the Church of England), which is committed to serving the whole community of Hanworth and North Hampton.

Our Aims
It is our aim to provide a stimulating and exciting environment to support your child as they develop a love of learning through play and become confident exploring the world around them. 

We are a ‘Let’s Talk Together’ setting, a programme which supports, encourages and inspires early language development, together with positive interactions between staff and children. 

 Specifically, we aim:

• Provide a simulating and exciting environment to support children to develop a love of learning through play and become confident exploring the world around them.

• To provide high quality care and education for children aged 2-5 in a safe, stimulating environment.

• To encourage children to take part in activities that develop skills which will enhance their overall development.

• To work in partnership with parents and carers to support children’s learning and development.

• To promote wellbeing and respect.
